Diversified Communications has announced the cancelation of the 2020 edition of the Seafood Expo Global, which was originally scheduled for April 21 to 23 in Brussels, Belgium. The event was already postponed due to the worldwide COVID-19 outbreak. The decision followed Belgium's ban of any event until at least August 31. The organizer decided there were too many insurmountable difficulties to continue with the event this year.
The 2020 edition was going to be the last one to be held in Brussels before the trade show moves to its new host city, Barcelona, next year. The registration for the 2021 event is expected to open in the fall and tickets sold for this year's show will remain valid. Seafood Expo Global 2021 is scheduled for April 27 to 29. Prior to the expo, the eighth edition of the European Tuna Conference 2021, organized by Atuna, will take place on April 26 also in Barcelona. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.
