Grand Rodosi detained after sinking a trawler
A grain carrier which sank a $20 million tuna boat at Port Lincoln is being detained by authorities while civil court proceedings are dealt with.
The Grand Rodosi hit the tuna purse seiner Apollo S at the wharf a week ago.
Australian Fishing Enterprises is seeking $28 million in compensation, including $4 million for lost income.
The Federal Court in South Australia has heard the grain carrier has a damaged bow, but is not thought to be in danger of sinking.
Admiralty Marshall Julie House has flown from Adelaide to Port Lincoln and taken custody of the ship.
