A Japanese couple has recently decided to celebrate their love by showing their passion for one particular fish: bluefin tuna, or “maguro” in Japanese.

Instead of traditionally cutting a cake at their wedding party, this young couple gave the first notch in this 100 kilograms bluefin tuna in front of their guests.

Their wedding fish cost around $1.300 dollars, which is probably cheaper than a wedding cake in some high-end bakeries.

It seems that a local seafood company has offered the service for nearly a decade, but few had taken the bait.

The guests, of course, loved the idea and celebrated the rest of the night eating freshly cut tuna sashimi.
