Bumble Bee Contributes USD 100,000 To Samoa Tsunami Relief ff

Bumble Bee Foods has announced a contribution of 100,000 US dollars for the American Samoa Tsunami Appeal.

The San Diego-based tuna and seafood products manufacturer is providing a cash donation of 50,000 dollars and ready-to-eat food products valued at 50,000 dollars to assist survivors of the tsunami, earthquake and flooding that have impacted the islands.

The donation is being presented to the American Red Cross, which is managing the relief effort on the ground in American Samoa.

Bumble Bee President and CEO Chris Lischewski said the tragic impact of this natural disaster hits close to home for Bumble Bee and employees from their own experiences with similar devastations in the US and in other parts of the world.
