Based on recent observations and happenings in Noro, the board of Soltai should be congratulated for finally doing the restructuring.
Good work done so far and please do not stop until you have gone through every area and aspect of Soltai.
In the recent days too we have heard that the pole & line vessels are now up for sales.
My advice is that once willingly and knowledgeable buyers are available, the vessels should be sold quickly with no further delay.
Any delay is not to anyone’s benefits as the vessels are deteriorating rapidly as they lay berthing at the Company wharves.
The board had resolved and confirmed the Trimarine (TM)’s appointed GM in Soltai.
This has been the best step in the right direction in the revitalization of Soltai. The new GM has a wide knowledge and experience in tuna industry both locally and internationally.
I would think that he is the right man for the job and would definitely turn Soltai around with the backing of a good management team, the current board, and of course, the shareholders. I wish him all the best in his new position.
It is of paramount importance that with this confirmation of the new GM, a huge cash injection should be immediately siphoned into Soltai from TM as a paid up capital or form of loan to Soltai.
Such will be immediately used to purchase raw materials for productions, settling of creditors and, purchasing of necessary assets to start up the operations of the new Soltai immediately.
One important restructuring that must be done immediately is reorganization and “pruning†of the departments and the human resources capability of the Company.
By this I meant that the board should decide which departments to keep, reorganize and ones to do away with.
All employees should be evaluated and decisions should be made now to decide the composition of employees in the new Soltai.
The further delay in doing this step, the more likely the rotten apples in the group will affect the good ones and therefore low moral and unproductive attributes will slip and emerge easily in the new Soltai.
The GM and the board should also investigate any self-serving attitudes in Soltai as reported in the media recently.
This is by far one of the demoralizing things that have affected employees’ motivation in the past and such allegations should be never taken lightly.
Please learn from the past experience, act upon the allegations, and move forward with good judgment and directive for the betterment of the new Soltai.
Finally I wish the board, the new GM, management, and all employees every success in the new Soltai.
May God bless Soltai.
