Australia Seafood marketing company Blue Harvest will market and distribute the entire crop of yellowtail kingfish, mulloway and southern bluefin tuna produced by Clean Seas Tuna. Clean Seas managing director Marcus Stehr said the appointment came as its stocks of kingfish and mulloway reached at least 4000 tons worth more than $40 million.
Mr. Stehr said about 40 per cent of its kingfish was sold domestically with the rest sold overseas.
â€We have now reached the critical mass which allows us to ramp up our plans to strongly market our fish and fully realise their commercial potential,†he said.
â€The appointment of Blue Harvest is a key step in that direction.â€
The Blue Harvest sales and marketing agency works specifically with premium seafood producers in Australia and overseas.
Mr. Stehr said it was involved in strategic product development, pre-and post-harvest handling, freight logistics and sales and marketing of premium seafood brands from wholesalers through to consumers.
