The National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA) will use satellite technology to identify the best places to fish, a media briefing was told.
The Chairman of National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency, K. Haputhantri said: “the advantage of the project is that, when fishermen use the longline method to catch tuna and other fish, they can reduce the cost of fuel usage and provide a better quality catch of fish which will help them to increase the income.â€
He said this decision was taken to obtain the services of the Department of Fisheries and Water Resources to develop the fishing industry.
