Two Ecuadorian Tuna Fisherman Die On Boardff

Two crewmember of the Ecuadorian tuna purse seiner Caesar V died last Sunday, as a result of an accident, which took place on board the vessel.

According to the statement of an injured crewmember, the purse seiner was 72 hours on its way back to Manta when the two fishermen, Rafael Macías Macías and Marcos Pin Suárez lost their lives.

The boatowner of the Ceasar V, Fabricio Paladines, reported the accident last Sunday, which happened while the men were working. The report indicates that the victims died as the result s of the pen (iron tube that pulls the purse seine net) broke and fell on top of them.
