In the United States, a Salem man is facing a charge of boating while intoxicated after he and two other people were ejected from their tuna-fishing boat Saturday night.
Marine Patrol officers say the boaters became disoriented after refueling near North Beach. The boat got caught in the surf and struck some rocks, ejecting all three boaters into the ocean, according to Marine Patrol.
The boaters were reportedly transported to Exeter Hospital with minor injuries and possible hypothermia.
Marine Patrol officers charged the driver, Eugene Dowgiert, 35, with boating while intoxicated.
Passenger Rory Cochran, 42, of Lawrence, Mass., was treated for lacerations and possible hypothermia. The other passenger, Jeffrey Cochran, 34, of Sandown, also suffered minor injuries.
