Belgium The Spanish National Association of Canned Fish and Seafood (ANFACO) is participating at the European Seafood Exhibition (ESE) in Brussels, which commenced today April 26th until Thursday 28th. The ESE is the most important international fair for the industrial seafood sector.
ANFACO and several of its associated companies are present in the institutional pavilions of the Council for Fishing and Maritime Affairs of the Xunta of Galicia Government, as well as at the FROM Stand (Fund of Regulation and Organization of the Fishing Products and Marine Farming Market) for the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. At the ANFACO stands many products of its members will be promoted.
During the European Seafood Exhibition, ANFACO’s General Secretary Mr. Juan Vieites will be holding several meetings with representatives of the European Union (EU) as well as delegates from other third countries in order to represent and defend the sector’s interest.
Here follow a few of the scheduled topics and meetings. -ANFACO meeting with the Taxud General Management / Direction. -Euroatun Meeting with the General Secretariat of African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries, with the Andean Pact country members, and with the countries of the Central American Common Market. -Participation at the EUROFISH´05 summit, for the EU program Al-Invest. -ANFACO meeting with the Mexican Permanent Representation in the EU. -ANFACO meeting with the General Direction of Agriculture, where ANFACO together with its Italian, French and Portuguese representatives of Italy, France and Portugal will try to maintain the restitutions for olive oil.
