Special EU Meeting on Future EU Tuna Industry ff

A meeting related to the tuna sector of the European Union is being held in Bilbao, Spain during April 11th and 12th. Several issues of high importance for the future of the European tuna manufacturing industry and the tuna fleets will be discussed during the meeting. The Spanish National Association of Canned Fish and Seafood Producers (ANFACO) is giving a presentation on the sector’s current situation and the future perspectives for the tuna industry by detailing the main issues affecting it, and by remarking the three main aspects: structures, markets and resources, as well as each single and specific problem that are involved in those aspects.
The spokesman for ANFACO is Mr. Juan Manuel Vieites, General Secretary, who is attending the meeting along with an important delegation of associated companies’ representatives who have great interest in the global tuna industry. The ANFACO delegation is also being supported by representatives of companies such as Calvo Group, Jealsa-Rianxeira S.A., Escuris S.A., Frinsa, Connorsa, Facore, Actema and Cofaco, the most important canning industries of the Spanish tuna sector.
