During the world conference of canned fish and shellfish held in Vigo, Spain, on September 16th and 17th of this year, Hermasa showed their Tunipack®-500 canning machine.
Hermasa also announced that recently Bumble Bee acquired a Tunipack®-500 for its cannery in Santa Fe springs (Los Angeles – California). This is the third Tunipack® that Bumble Bee acquires in less than one and a half year. The first two units were installed in their cannery in Mayaguez (Puerto Rico).
The Tunipack®-500 is the fastest model of the Tunipack® family, with a production of 500 cans/minute, this machine is developed to form two tuna cakes simultaneously and by one single cut two cans are packed. This way a higher production volume is obtained with the same number of operators as with equipment with a much lower capacity and speed.
Quality and versatility are the basis for the whole range of machines of Hermasa. The 500 model maintains the same characteristics as its little brothers with lower speed:
· Modification of the filling weight without any need to operate in the format of the machine (this can be done via the touch screen control panel incorporated in the machine).
· Possibility to use different types of heights of can without any necessity to modify the format of the machine.
· Maximum simplicity of the machine.
· Weight accuracy
· High quality product presentation
· Low cost maintenance.
This equipment is available for can formats ranging from 211, 307 or 401, always with the same maximum capacity of production.
No matter what type of can or height is used, the speed can be maintained.
As an extra option Hermasa incorporates in all of its models a connection system by satellite or modem, which enables monitoring of the state of the equipment at all the times from a central location.
All the characteristics mentioned before create significant time saving and therefore cost saving, which comes fully to the benefit of the user.
