New Marketing Appointment At John Westff

John West has announced the appointment of Andrew Gidden as Sales and Trade Marketing General Manager, effective immediately. Mr. Gidden’s new role includes responsibility for John West’s commercial focus, ensuring it continues to be the leading UK canned seafood brand.

“We are very pleased that Andrew has come on board,” says Ian Meadows,
Western Europe & Seafood Business Director, John West. “He will assume responsibility for the Sales and Trade Marketing teams driving sales of all branded seafood in the UK, and he will play the key role in managing our relationships with our key accounts.”

Mr. Gidden has a solid commercial background and extensive experience gained through a variety of sales roles for organizations such as Unilever, Cadbury Schweppes and Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, according to a company statement. More recently, he covered the roles of Director for Sales Development and Director of Customer Strategy for R H M, Manor Bakeries.

“I am delighted to be joining John West at this time,” adds Mr. Gidden. “This is a challenging role, and I am looking forward to delivering results to the business”.
