Some 300 delegates from 35 Asia Pacific countries are taking part in an international conference (PrepCom VI WCPFC) on fishery and marine which is being held form April 19-24 in Bali, an Indonesian official said.
Tuna fishing is an important topic on the conference, being the main fished species in the region.
Eleven regional and international institutions are also attending the six-day event, Bali fishery office head Ida Bagus Wisnawa Manuba said.
Indonesian Marine and Fishery Minister Rokhmin Dahuri is to open the Conference for the Establishment of Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (PrepCom VI CPFC).
