It was a busy 4-days in Brussels last week.
The European Tuna Conference 2013 took place on Monday with well over 300 participants and the European Seafood Exhibition enabled the global seafood industry to meet and greet for the following 3 days.
The European Tuna Conference 2013 finalized its full day of very interesting speeches and discussion stages with a cocktail party for all participants directly after having announced the awards winners for Europe’s Best Tuna Product and Europe’s Best Tuna TV Commercial.
Both this year’s prizes fell in the hands of the MWBrands group, the owner of the Petite Navire brand of France.
Its Petite Navire brand with Grilled Tuna Steaks with Tomato and Basel scored the most points among the jury and won Europe’s Best Tuna Product Award.

Atuna received several TV Commercials that have been broadcasting in European markets during the last few months, and together they competed for “ Europe’s Best Tuna TV Commercial†award.

After seeing all the commercials, the attendants of tuna conference voted in majority for John West’s UK commercial “Combover & Lucky Peteâ€, as being the best. John West also being owned by the MWBrands Group, made its CEO Mr. Aldolfo Valsecchi go home with 2 awards. MWBrands is wholly owned by Thai Union Frozen.
