Japanese Yellowfin Imports Dropped Dramatically In Februaryff

According to the International Seafood Distribution Council, Japan’s seafood imports,  including fishmeal, dropped 1.9 percent to 171,573 metric tons during the month of February, compared to the same period last year.

Tuna imports were especially hid hard:
-Yellowfin tuna (down 30.4 percent), bonito (down 57.8 percent)
-Bigeye tuna was the only species that recorded positive numbers (up 18.4 percent).
