Holiday travelers and spring breakers heading toward Florida early Friday faced big delays after a truckload of canned tuna caught fire on I-75 in Clayton County.
The truck was hauling 40,000 pounds of canned tuna. It caught fire around 6 a.m.
No injuries were reported, but authorities blocked all but one lane of I-75 for more than an hour, jamming traffic.
A large percentage of the traffic on I-75 before daybreak Friday corresponded to vehicles from out-of-state as motorists got a head-start on the holiday weekend.
