American company Phillips Foods has a new product line of albacore tuna and it is sourced from the South Pacific nation of Samoa.

The family-owned company is promoting its work with the Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP), Samoan producers and the Samoan government to improve the fishery and its long-term sustainability. The SFP aims to guide responsible seafood sourcing and collaborates with seafood companies to encourage the sustainable management of fisheries.

For each pound of Phillips Tuna purchased, Phillips Foods will donate three cents to the SFP.

The tuna is available in 4-, 6- and 8-ounce steaks as well as chopped and poki cubes.

Phillips Foods owns and operates seafood processing plants, as well as seven high-volume restaurants in the Eastern United States and a network of franchises in major U.S. airports.
