Superbods winners John Spainhour and Monika Sta. Maria
The search is over! Century Tuna has found two new Superbods that will become their ambassadors for health and fitness.
Former US marine John Spainhour and volleyball player Monika Sta. Maria responded to Anne Curtis and Derek Ramsay’s call, “We Want You,†by beating the other 18 finalists of Century Tuna Superbods 2012: Salute to Sexy.
The series of challenges for the fourth Century Tuna Superbods was held in Boracay Island last Saturday, April 14.
Following its military theme, Century Tuna made these challenges more difficult this year.
Century Canning Corporation Vice President and General Manager, Greg Banzon, told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “We made them do challenges in land, air, and sea.
“So, medyo cute at the same time, medyo difficult. I think it brought out the best in our candidates.â€
Hundreds of health buffs from different region aspired to become the next Century Tuna endorsers, but only 20 of them were chosen to fly to Boracay Island, one of the hottest summer destinations in the Philippines.
Aside from John and Monika, other chosen contestants who battle it out for the title were sports buffs like football player Charlie Sutcliffe, 23; basketball player AJ Hanson, 20; extreme sports enthusiast Azel Shane Smith, 20; and surfer and wakeboarder Janet Emmrich, 20.
