Australia Source: Herald Sun Dr. Foster’s appointment followed an extensive global search to find a CEO to lead Clean Seas into the next phase of its Southern Bluefin Tuna and Kingfish breeding operations, the South Australia-based company said.
Dr. Foster has been for the past four years independent chairman of Clean Seas Tuna Research Management Advisory Group.
Dr. Foster, who has a Bachelor of Veterinary Science honours degree, has worked in aquaculture for 24 years.
He’s managed research and development for Tasmania’s largest salmon hatchery and during his time as managing director of fish feed manufacturer Gibson’s Ltd, production there increased five fold, Clean Seas said.
Dr. Foster will replace Paul Steere, who has been CEO in an interim capacity since August, when the previous CEO, Clifford Ashby, resigned.
