8 “Road Pirates” Arrested After Theft Truckload Of Tunaff

of the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigation Team (CICPC) in Venezuela dealt a blow to the underworld, stopping the activities of a gang of alleged “road pirates”.

The criminal group known as “pirates of the Caribbean”, have been accused of assaults on the transport of goods in the north and west of Anzoategui and Sucre state in Venezuela.

Salazar, head of CICPC in Venezuela, reported that eight people were arrested after receiving complaints of theft of a truckload of tuna, owned by Transport Sánchez, member of Polar.

The truckloads were partially dismantled: 1,190 boxes of tuna, equipment and a shotgun.

Salazar
said that a National Guard and a State Agent were involved in tuna transport-related thefts. They were both recently arrested by the Guanta Local Police.
