Lumar & Jeronimo Martins Start Premium Tuna Business In Polandff

Lumar Natural Seafood, a Spanish food company listed on the Alternative Investment Market (MAB), recently closed a major contract with the Polish company Biedronka for the supply of Supreme Premium Tuna, which will open a new market in this country.

Biedronka, owned by the Portuguese company specialized in the distribution of food products Jerónimo Martins, is the largest discount grocer of Poland with approximately 1,650 stores and over 26,000 employees.

With this deal, Lumar proceeds with its strategy of internationalization, opening new markets in Europe and specifically emerging markets of great importance for the future. It “shows that major distributors share Lumar’s interest in innovative products and solutions in the market for responsible and healthy food”. This offers “great expectations for the future” within international markets of social and economic importance.
